A peaceful garden hub just outside town — created as a place to have a break and stretch your legs. Whether you’re heading north, coming off safari, or simply escaping town traffic, One Stop offers mountain-view meals, fresh air, and space to breathe.
Stop in for excellent coffee, a delicious well priced lunch, a swim, a browse through our curated shops — or stay the night in one of our cosy Shepherds Huts or The 100-Year-Old House. All without getting caught up in town.

We have four Shepherds Huts and the recently added Heather Hut.

The 100-Year-Old House
Full of character and history, with generous living spaces and a garden setting — ideal for families or small groups of up to 6 people.

One Stop is designed as an open, easy space — somewhere to meet friends, hold informal meetings, or simply stretch your legs on a long journey. A lovely plant nursery sells lots of lovely plants.

Shepherds Huts
The four Shepherds Huts are based on a traditional Somerset Shepherd’s Hut design in the UK and come furnished with beautiful fittings, they are on authentic British Oak Chassis with Cast Iron Metal Wheels.
Total of Four Shepherds Huts and each can accommodate up to 3 pax, and have bathrooms available via a private veranda.
Views facing Mt Kenya. Fridge, microwave, kettle & toaster
Outdoor Firepit and BBQ is available for all huts.
Meals are available from the on site Frontiers Restaurant on request, including a breakfast deal of Ksh1,500 per person for overnight guests.

Heather Hut

Heather Hut is a beautifully crafted, classic wooden hut that combines rustic charm with modern comfort. Thoughtfully designed with warm timber interiors and elegant furnishings, it offers a spacious layout and a private en-suite bathroom for a truly relaxed
stay. Unlike a traditional Shepherd’s Hut, Heather Hut features a larger veranda—an inviting space that's perfect for enjoying your morning tea while taking in the surrounding garden views.
Sleeping 2 pax maximum.

The 100 Year Old House
This charming old house has 3 bedrooms, kitchen, veranda and a sitting area with a fireplace. A private garden surrounds the house. One room is a double en suite, the other 2 rooms share a bathroom and can be made up as singles or doubles if requested in advance.
The house is equipped with a large fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, gas burner/oven, indoor and outdoor seating area. A cleaner can visit each day to do the washing up and clean the house if desired at no extra charge.
